About Me

Welcome to my photoblog!

I am Meghan Wiesman. I love to photograph with my Canon. My passion for photography began when I was younger. I think one of the many things I wanted to be when I grew up included a photographer. I found myself with a camera attached to my face on many occassions.

After the birth of my daughter, I decided to embrace this passion and dive into it. Capturing every moment of my daughter was important to me. I want my images to not only representive her adorable face but also her excitement, joy and innocence. You will see her throughout this blog frequently.

My style tends to be a photojournalistic, lifestyle approach with natural lighting and lots of color. The more color, the better. I consider myself a budding photographer and am always looking for a new adventure. That being said, I am constantly working to better my art in a laid back, fun atmosphere. I hope you enjoy my work and enjoy watching as I grow into my photography.

What's in my camera bag?

I am a Canon girl all the way. I now shoot with a Canon 5D Mark II. I also have a Canon Rebel XTi (my first DSLR). My lenses include 50mm f/1.4, 24-70mm f/2.8 L series, and the "fabulous" Rebel kit lens (18mm-55mm). I also have the Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 which I keep on my Rebel for fun snap shots of my daughter. I have a Canon Speedlite 430exII with several diffuser attachments and some small random things you tend to accumulate along the way.

What's next on my list?

135mm f/2.0 L
85mm f/1.2L
70-200mm f/2.8 LIS II
100mm F/2.8 L Macro
